EUROCAMP ITALY - 2022 -2023 TARQUINIA ROME

The main objective of our project is to promote linguistic and cultural diversity in the EU and combat language-related reasons for discrimination and marginalization. The project explores the richness of linguistic diversity in the EU as part of the common European cultural heritage. Language is a fundamental component of our identity, and knowledge of other languages enables citizens to have a broader view of the world around them. It is an important element in expressing collective and individual identity.

 

The recognition of linguistic diversity is one of the first steps toward understanding others and building an inclusive society. In addition, EU policies promote the goal that the younger generation should know at least two other languages in addition to their mother tongue in order to participate fully in the wider EU citizenship and increase their opportunities for personal growth and access to the labor market.
