About EUCOMMvsDISINFO
In today’s digital age, democracies face a growing challenge: the spread of false information. This proliferation of disinformation poses a significant threat to democratic institutions and undermines the trust of citizens. Beyond eroding trust, disinformation has proven to be hazardous to public health during crises such as the Covid-19 pandemic. As a response to these pressing concerns, a project proposal has emerged with the aim of countering disinformation and other forms of interference in the democratic debate, while fostering informed participation in the upcoming 2024 European Parliament Elections.
